ABOUT THE CLUB

Everyone Belongs On Our Pitch

Building unity, excellence, and opportunity through soccer in the Niagara Region.

We don’t ask where you’re from. We ask if you’re ready to play, grow, and lift the person next to you.

Who we are

A club where the whole community plays

Inter Niagara Football Club is more than a team sheet and a fixture list. It is a home for players of every background: young people chasing their first goal, families finding their feet in a new country, and seasoned players who still feel the pull of the game. On our pitch, accents blend, languages mix, and the only thing that matters is the shirt you share.

We run free youth clinics, gear drives, and multicultural gatherings because we believe football opens doors that nothing else can. A boy who has just landed in Canada gets a team within days. A girl who never had boots gets her first pair. A parent who felt like a stranger ends up cheering on the touchline with new friends. That is the club we are building, and everyone who walks through our gates helps build it.

Our story

From one big idea to a club that feels like family

Inter Niagara began with a simple belief: every person who loves football deserves a team to belong to. Our founder, Benjamine Tah-Fokwah, saw talented players and newcomers across Niagara with passion and nowhere to channel it. Together with co-founder and head coach Uzoma Uwaoma, he set out to build a club that would open its doors wider than any other, and keep them open.

The spark

A club for those left on the sidelines

It started with conversations on local fields: newcomers who missed the game they grew up with, and young players with talent but no pathway. The founders decided that if no club was making room for them, they would build one.

First kickoff

A handful of players, one shared dream

With borrowed pitches, volunteer coaches, and a lot of belief, Inter Niagara played its first matches. The standard was clear from day one: play with discipline, respect every opponent, and never leave a teammate behind.

Growing roots

Beyond the 90 minutes

Free youth clinics, equipment drives, and multicultural events turned the club into a community institution. Hundreds of young players have since found mentors, friends, and confidence through Inter Niagara.

Today

Competing with pride, building with purpose

Today we compete in regional competition and welcome players from more than a dozen nations. Every season we aim higher, on the scoreboard and in the lives we touch. The next chapter is yours to help write.
